Programme Overview
BBA (H) Media Management is a regular four-year (eight-semester) undergraduate programme based on the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS). EIILM-Kolkata is among the very few colleges of India that offer BBA(H) Media Management, which is an amalgamation of Media Science, Journalism, Mass Communication, Film Studies, power-packed with managerial skills into a fully-fledged management programme.
The academic curriculum of BBA (H) Media Management has been designed to equip students for the advertising industry, the public relations field, traditional media sector and prepare them for the new media.
The BBA (H) Media Management programme of EIILM-Kolkata is so designed that the students study at the workplace or industry, as interns, alongwith learning various aspects of Media Business through lecture sessions, field activities & Outdoor sessions. The students become confident Mediapreneurs after successful completion of this integrated programme on Advertising, Public Relations, Event Management (Integrated Marketing Communications) along with Media Science, Film Studies, Visual Literacy, fiction and non-fiction media courses.
Objectives:
- To develop strong academic knowledge and professional skills for enabling students to be proficient enough in top-class media houses.
- To develop knowledge and requisite skills in visual design, electronic media production, capturing real-life events through photography, videography, and film making
- Enabling them to become leaders of the society with a sense of high morality, advanced skills, and insightful attitudes
- To be capable to identify, formulate, review research literature and analyze complex media problems and decision-making models
