Business in Borderless Asia- the Hurdles, Possibilities and Prospects
Date: 13.10.2018
Organized by: EIILM-Kolkata in collaboration with Vidyasagar University
Location: Hotel Novotel Platinum Pratunam, Bangkok, Thailand
The story in Asia is about increasing connections, improving collaborations, and deepening cooperation, with the emergence of Asia as a giant of world economy. It is in this context that the first international seminar was held in Thailand, under the gross title of "Business in Borderless Asia- the Hurdles, Possibilities and Prospects" and was organized in 2018 by EIILM-Kolkata in collaboration with Vidyasagar University, at Hotel Novotel Platinum Pratunam in Bangkok.
The theme address was delivered by our honourable Chairman and Director. The tenet of Asian unity through philosophy and cultural contacts was materialised in the pre-medieval times. In modern period, the first formal initiative was taken by none other than the foremost Indian revolutionary Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The call for Asian unity and integration was also given by other Asian nations, philosophers and eminent personalities in history.
Asia has certain unique features of business, manufacturing and consumption pattern. The international collaborative seminar was an attempt to create a view of sensitization among people of Asia towards creating a Borderless Asia for having free flow of business, thoughts, ideas and enterprises. Once Asia goes ahead with this concept of unity, the business flow in Asia should be made open for all types of products and services to be offered and received by nations within the Asian horizon.

Asian Integration- Towards Creating a Homogeneous Asian Mind
Date: 15.10.2019
Organized by: EIILM-Kolkata, Vidyasagar University and International College, Rajamangala University of Technology, Thailand
Location: Hotel Novotel, Clarke Quay, Singapore
The second edition of the same theme, i.e., "Business in Borderless Asia- the Hurdles, Possibilities and Prospects" with broader perspective was also organized as one-day international seminar jointly by the Vidyasagar University and International College, Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep (ICUTK), Thailand, at Hotel Novotel, Clarke Quay, Singapore under the gross title "Asian Integration- Towards Creating a Homogeneous Asian Mind" in 2019.
It was a part of the "Asian-Integration-Initiative Series" with the message: "Let Entities of Asia Unite". The discrete position of Asian nations and lack of coordination among the Asians, continuously pressed between the push and pull factors initiated by Western dominant power, gave a call to Asian nations and people of Asia to possibly join hands for developing a homogeneous integrated Asia.
Business leaders, teachers and thinkers from around the Asian continent participated and shared their individual views on various aspects of Asian thoughts, philosophy, business models and history. This was followed by some remarkable presentations by faculty members of EIILM-Kolkata and others followed by poster presentation by our students “One Asia”, panel discussion and prize distribution.
These twin international seminars shall have the prospect of sensitizing ideas and concepts across Asia towards creating a homogeneous mind in future.
